‘No Frills’ Podcast Discusses Role of Digital Technology in Aged and Community Care

The Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council (ACIITC) are focused on harnessing information and communications technology to create sustainably aged and community care services.

Recently, ACIITC Chair, Dr George Margelis and Executive, Ms Anne Livingstone presented at the 29th National VET Research Conference (NVRC) ‘No Frills’.

The conference focused on challenges and opportunities for vocational educational training (VET), with the recent theme being ‘Workforce ready’; exploring what this means for VET, especially in light of the substantial job losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ACIITC team spoke about new directions in skills planning, digital technology and the role it plays in aged and community care.

In addition, Professor John Buchanan of The University of Sydney, Mr David Redway of the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment; and Professor Erica Smith of Federation University were also involved in the panel discussion.
