New Aged Care Industry Technology Council Board Appointment
The Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council (ACIITC) has appointed a new Director representing Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) on its Board. Mr Derek Dittrich will join the ACIITC Board in March 2020 following the resignation of long-term Director Ms Patricia Sparrow.
ACIITC was formed by the two industry Peak bodies Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) and Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) in 2007 with the express aim to speak with one voice on issues related to technology and innovation as well as to provide the Aged and Community Care industry with a vehicle to consider, debate and work to realise Technology and Innovation related opportunities.
Independent Chair, Dr George Margelis commented- “I would like to thank Ms Patricia Sparrow for her commitment and involvement in the Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council as a Board Member over many years and the Board looks forward to continuing working with ASCA’s newly appointed representative Mr Derek Dittrich.”
Mr Dittrich is currently the ACSA State Manager for South Australia and Northern Territory as well as National Senior Manager Strategic Policy. Mr Dittrich has worked across both residential and community care from the mid-’90s and has been part of implementing significant reforms during this time.”
Derek Dittrich officially commences his appointment on Tuesday 3 March when attending the National ITAC 2020 conference in Brisbane.
