Forced Innovation – The uptake of Innovation and Technology in Aged and Community Care during COVID-19
The Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council (ACIITC) will be hosting the next National Forum on Wednesday 3 June 2020 10:00 AM AEST. The forum aims to highlight Innovation that has developed in the Aged and Community Care sector due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Three international speakers will provide a perspective on how technology is used to deliver care in new ways.
- Dr Malcolm Fisk, Expert Advisor WHO, will discuss the digital transformation that has occurred in the United Kingdom to deliver aged and community care.
- Ms Adriana Ciacaru, President of the Youth Commission in Romania, will provide a European perspective on innovative workforce solutions.
- Professor Greg Alexander, Columbia University, will shine a spotlight on quality and service model changes in the United States America.
Other forum presenters include: Dr George Margelis, Chair ACIITC providing an update on the ACIITC activities; Ms Anne Livingstone, Dr Kate Barnett OAM, and Mr Gavin Tomlins will provide insights into the Capabilities in Aged & Community Care Readiness: An Evaluation of Innovation & Technology (CARE-IT) Research Project.
A Q&A with the panel of speakers will provide an opportunity for attendees to pose questions and share ideas on the topic of ‘Forced Innovation’ in the care sector.
