ACIITC Survey of Software, Technology and Innovation Vendors to the Aged & Community Care Sector
Today the Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council (ACIITC) circulated the CARE IT VENDOR Survey to software and technology providers to the Aged and Community Care Sector.
This vendor focused survey follows on from an industry specific survey. This survey is aimed at discovering the range of technologies and innovative services available to the sector from the vendor community.
The surveys form part of a larger project including an Environmental Scan and research. The outcomes of the research will culminate in the CARE-IT National Research Project Report.
In March 2020, ACIITC was funded by the Department of Health to deliver the Capabilities in Aged & Community Care Readiness an Evaluation of Innovation & Technology (CARE IT) Project by the end of June 2020. The objectives of this project are to deliver: an environmental scan, an aged & community care industry survey, and a technology vendor survey culminating in an evaluation report. The project is aiming to understand the aged and community care industry innovation and technology capabilities and readiness in the following areas:
- Business support and administrative systems;
- Reporting and online access to government;
- Surveillance and monitoring technologies;
- Telehealth; and
- Smart Care Technologies.
Dr George Margelis, ACIITC Chair, said “The CARE-IT Vendor Survey is a wonderful opportunity for all software and technology solutions providers to update us on how their solutions are developed and deployed.”, Dr Margelis went on to say that, “Importantly we are aiming to identify barriers to technology adoption by the Aged and Community Care sector, as well as highlight successful innovations. The outcomes of this project will inform future strategic directions of the industry”.
